RIPCORD Press Release
Pull the Ripcord for an evening of laughs and revelations at the Basile Westfield Playhouse October 3rd – October 13th!
(August 29th, 2024. WESTFIELD, IN)
With a cast of six of some of the most talented actors in central Indiana, Main Street Productions brings the words of David Lindsay-Abaire to life on stage at the Basile Westfield Playhouse beginning October 3rd for two weekends.
Welcome to New Jersey’s Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, where the gloriously grumpy Abby plots to evict her new roommate, the perpetually sunny Marilyn. A seemingly harmless bet between the women for the bed by the window quickly escalates into a highly charged duel of emotionally intensifying and outrageous pranks. With equal tenacity, the ladies fiercely rib, jab and expose each other’s deepest secrets. Even Marilyn’s devoted family get in on the action – all with a genuine wish to see the seemingly mean-spirited Abby happy.
Ripcord is suggested for audiences over thirteen due to mature content and runs Thursday through Sunday for two weekends, October 3rd – 13th. All evening shows (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) begin at 7:30 pm. Matinee performances on Sunday start at 2:30 pm. Main Street Productions at Basile Westfield Playhouse is located at 220 North Union Street, in Westfield.
You and your family can catch the opening night performance for just $10.00 a ticket! Tickets for the remaining performances start at $17.00, and there are special discounts for seniors, students, active military, and vets.
As the first show in the season, Ripcord is followed by Greetings! by Tom Dudzick, and directed by Jeremy Tuterow. Auditions are coming soon. Visit their audition page for more information on dates and times, and on how to prepare for this audition.
